Greetings to all our furry friends and their people!
Hot summer is in full swing so be careful with your people and yourself. Don't take your owner for too long a walk during the heat of the day, they may overheat and you may not be able to drag them home to cool off. Give them plenty of water and shade. Try the AC if possible. Go out early and late and still be careful. If your having flea problems, give us a call. Even if your not sick, stop by and say hi.

Mission trip

Deb and I have been blessed to be introduced to a christian ministry in Lynch, Kentucky. The name is Meridzo Ministries. Their web site is if you would look them up. Lynch is in the hills and we are looking forward to some cooler weather. We will be gone on our normal Friday June 11th. We will be back on the 18th as usual from 9 to 3. The area has no veterinary care for a considerable distance and we will be doing some mobile clinics just like we do at Wedgewood. It is our prayer to serve God in what we do and would appreciate your prayers as we make this trip.

Spring is in the air!

I'm sure many of you are ready for some warm Florida weather. I know my family is. My black lab Jake loves the cold mornings to run across the yard and chase the birds. The other 2 dogs are not as thrilled with it. Hopefully Spring is around the corner but it would be nice to save a few of these cooler days for July and August.
We have enjoyed the warm welcome recieved from our new clients and patients from the Grand Island area. We appreciate the trust you have shown by coming to see us. We look forward to continuing to meet the needs of your pets.
As you all know, Hati has been devastated by the earthquake. If you would like a trustworthy way to help please go to the followling link. The Southern Baptist Convention has a program called Buckets of Hope. When you go to this website, look to the right and click on "Buckets of Hope". If you have any questions just give me a call.

Greetings! I'd like to introduce myself as your local veterinarian. I have lived in Umatilla, Florida since 1987 with my wife, Debbie, our two daughters, Rebecca and Liz, and our animals...too many to name but loved all the same!

We have a large church family at First Baptist Church of Umatilla and extend a heart-felt invite to join us on any given Sunday.

I graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981 and have practiced in both Alabama and Florida for over 28 years. In 1990, my office was in Orange City, Florida, where I practiced until I sold it in 2007. For the past two years I have done relief work for other local veterinarians.

With my new business venture, mobile veterinary services, I can stay active in medicine and still balance an enthusiasm I have to serve with Christian Veterinary Missions.

I look forward to meeting you and your beloved furry ones, as we would like you to meet us!
